Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Capital Formation Operations Analyst to join our team at Pennybacker, a leading private real assets firm specializing in real estate and infrastructure investments. The Capital Formation Operations Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the firm’s capital raising and investor relations efforts. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with senior leaders internally and engage with high net worth and institutional investors, helping to shape the firm’s fundraising and capital strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in private equity, financial markets, and real assets, with exceptional analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investor Relations & Fundraising Support: Create marketing materials, including pitch decks, investor presentations, and due diligence documents. Coordinate responses to investor inquiries and due diligence requests. Support the capital raising process by gathering and analyzing investor feedback. Track investor commitments and updates, ensuring proper reporting and communication with institutional investors.
  • Fund Performance & Reporting: Prepare internal reports on fundraising progress, including pipeline tracking, investor updates, and performance metrics. Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual investor reporting, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of fund performance.
  • Due Diligence and Investor Communication: Collaborate with legal, compliance, and investment teams to ensure all necessary due diligence materials and investor communication are properly prepared and distributed. Create detailed investment performance reports for existing and prospective investors. Maintain investor databases and CRM systems, ensuring up-to-date records and seamless communication.
  • Administrative and Project Support: Assist in organizing and coordinating firm-wide events, including the Annual Investor Meeting (AGM), investor roadshows, and other key investor relations events. Support the preparation of presentations, agendas, and materials for the AGM and other events to ensure seamless communication with investors and prospective partners. Help facilitate and manage investor engagement during events, including follow-up communications and feedback.

Qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, asset management, legal operations, or capital formation/investor relations roles within real estate or infrastructure sectors.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint (creating presentations). Experience with CRM tools or investor management platforms is preferred.
  • Analytical & Research Skills: Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with the ability to conduct market research and financial analysis. Ability to gather and comprehend complex data and present in a clear and concise manner.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft high-quality investor communications and reports. Ability to present and communicate effectively with senior team members and external stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all materials and communications.
  • Teamwork & Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and professionalism. A proactive mindset and positive attitude are musts.
